Explore idyllic Ulvik, locally known as the Pearl of Hardanger, on this half-day sightseeing tour from Eidfjord.

The first stop on the program is the Fruit and Cider Route, a scenic road, nestled between orchards on the hillside with beautiful views of the fjord. The fruit farms along the route are famous for their cider production and of course, you will get a taste. Choose between visiting Lekve Gard or Syse Gard when booking.

After the tasting experience and time to drop by their farm shops, the bus takes you to Ulvik Centre. Spend your free time walking around the promenade by the fjord or drop by Yppal or Brakanes Hotel for something to eat or drink.

Upon return to Eidfjord, the bus stops at Vallavik viewpoint for a short photo break. Admire the impressive architecture of the Hardangerbrua Bridge and the panorama of the Hardangerfjord.

Choose between the following cider farms:

Lekve Gard

Lekve Gard is also known as “Hardanger Saft- og siderfabrikk”, and was the first producer of cider for commercial use. They produce a wide range of apple juices in addition to more than 20 different ciders. Lekve also has a distillery where fine spirits are aged in oak barrels. You can opt to try 3 types of their stronger liquids instead of the cider board. If you want to purchase any of their products, drop by their outlet before leaving.

Syse Gard

Syse Gard gives more of a traditional farm feeling and in addition to the ciders, it offers locally made snacks together with the cider tasting board. In the onsite farm shop, you’ll find a variety of processed fruit products, such as jams and juices as well as cider. They also sell traditional cured hams and sausages made of lamb.

Please note!

– It is the guest’s resposibility to follow the schedule and be back at the bus in time for the return to Eidfjord.
– Children under 18 years of age and others who do not want cider will get alcohol free alternatives.
