First stop: Norwegian Nature Centre

The tour begins in Eidfjord, just outside the Tourist Information office. After approximately 10 minutes by bus, you’ll arrive at Norwegian Nature Centre – a modern and interactive visitor centre in the heart of Hardanger.

Your visit begins with a spectacular panoramic film that takes you on a journey through the breathtaking Hardanger landscape across all four seasons – the perfect introduction to the nature and scenery you’re about to experience. Afterwards, you can explore the interactive exhibition at your own pace, discovering fascinating insights into Norway’s natural environment, climate and geology through engaging and hands-on displays.

Next stop: Vøringsfossen & Sky Bridge

From Norwegian Nature Centre, the journey continues through the dramatic and steep Måbødalen valley. Four modern tunnels lead you safely up to the mountain plateau, 750 metres above sea level, where Vøringsfossen thunders spectacularly into the gorge below.

Vøringsfossen Waterfall Sky Bridge

You’ll experience the waterfall from several spectacular viewpoints, and the bus stops close to the most impressive vantage point. Here, you truly feel the power of nature. If you’re feeling brave, you can cross the gorge via the famous Sky Bridge with its 99 steps – a unique experience offering remarkable views of both the waterfall and the surrounding landscape.

You’ll have around one hour to wander, take photographs and enjoy the scenery before the bus takes you back to Eidfjord.
