Travel from Bergen by bus to Jondal, then continue on smaller, winding roads up to the glacier base.
At the Welcome Center, you’ll meet your experienced glacier guide who will provide you with necessary safety equipment and a brief orientation. The glacier hike will be tailored to the group’s abilities and preferences, ensuring a comfortable yet exciting experience for all participants.
During the hike, you’ll stop for lunch while enjoying spectacular panoramic views. As you explore the glacier, your guide will share interesting facts about the local environment, cultural history, and climate changes affecting the region.
In the afternoon light, you’ll make your way back to the Welcome Center before returning to your starting point by the same mode of transportation.
Join the glacier hike for an unforgettable adventure! This tour is all about fantastic views and exploring. It is tailored to accommodate the preferences and conditions of each participant, and the knowledgeable guide will lead you safely through the glacial terrain. As you ascend, you enjoy views of the glacier and the beautiful fjord landscape. After a while, you will take a well-deserved lunch break with the backdrop of the North Sea, the Rosendal Alps and Folgefonna National Park. Throughout the hike, the glacier guide provides insights into the local culture, physical geography, and climate. In the afternoon light, we descend back to the Fonna Glacier Ski Resort

The hike can be adjusted for everyone above 10 years old. Each glacier guide adjust the hike after the groups whishes and conditions, and finds a pace where no one has to breathe heavily. Maximum participants pr. guide is 12 persons. Please note that there is no ice climbing on this hike, please book Blue Ice Hike or Private Guide if you are looking for that. The challenge level on our hikes are dynamic, easiest level of Blue Ice hike is often the same as Panorama hike.
Safety is always our highest concern every day, we work hard to identify and eliminate all risks to make sure the hike is safe for guests and glacier guides. This hike is a nature experience, not extreme sport.

The weather on Folgefonna Glacier can vary significantly during this time of year. It’s crucial to bring enough warm clothing, sunscreen, and sunglasses to ensure your comfort and safety.
