Early spring, often called nature’s awakening, marks the transition from the chill of winter to more gentle, warmer weather. It’s a time when nature stirs from its slumber, with buds unfurling, birdsong filling the air, and the landscape gradually coming to life with bursts of colour.
Join a scenic kayaking tour from Eidfjord to see, feel and hear the changes happen.
Led by knowledgeable kayak instructors, you will first receive paddle instruction before setting out on the fjord. As you glide through the pristine waters, framed by snow-capped mountain peaks, you will feel the real spirit of the north.
Keep your eyes open, if you are lucky, you might catch glimpses of playful seals, graceful sea eagles, and even the occasional sighting porpoises or orcas.
The early spring kayaking tours are suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts.
From Eidfjord, we will paddle towards the Simadalsfjord, nestled at the end of the narrow, and majestic Simadalen Valley.

FAQ
Can children join the kayaking tour?
Unfortunately not. Participants must be at least 18 years old to join this tour.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Although all participants are provided with a life jacket, all participants must be able to swim.
What if the weather is bad?
Kayaking tours usually operate in most weather conditions, including rain.
However, in case of strong winds or other conditions that may affect safety, the tour operator may need to cancel the planned tour. If this happens, you will of course receive a full refund, or you may choose to join another tour if available.
What should I wear?
We recommend bringing warm, windproof and waterproof clothing, as well as sturdy, waterproof shoes.
It is also a good idea to bring a set of dry clothes to change into after the tour, just in case.
Can I bring my camera or phone?
Absolutely – we understand that you would like to take photos to remember your kayaking experience.
However, we strongly recommend bringing a waterproof bag or container for cameras and other personal items. Please note that any personal belongings brought on the tour are your own responsibility.
Why can’t I book a ticket for just one person?
The tour operator requires a minimum of two participants in order to run the tour. For this reason, single bookings are unfortunately not possible.
If you want to book a ticket for 3 adults – choose 1 ticket “Two adults”, and after selecting the time slot you can add one “additional adult” ticket.
Please note!
– We need a minimum 2 participants to run the tour. If the minimum is not reached, we will contact you to offer an alternative.
