Welcome to an exciting journey through time at the Ravenheart Viking exhibition!
From the moment you step through the door, you are taken back 1000 years. The past comes alive through an extraordinary, guided experience by using all your senses.
A hands-on, interactive exhibition
Ravenheart is the sort of museum where you are allowed to touch and try the artefacts in the exhibition, making it a popular experience for families with children.
See with your own eyes the beautiful details of artefacts that once enriched the lives of the Vikings and get a glimpse into their daily life. Hear the echoes of history as the expert guide shares exciting stories and insights. Connect with the Vikings and feel the texture and craftsmanship that defined that era.
Eidfjord in the Viking Age
As you explore the exhibition, you will learn about the significance of Eidfjord during the Viking times. Due to its location between the fjord and the resourceful Hardangervidda plateau, it was a hub back in the day. This is even where you find the largest Iron Age burial site in Western Norway.
