The Troll Train starts in the centre of Eidfjord, up the street from the tourist information and next to the Coop Supermarket. In 50 minutes, it takes you around some of the most interesting sights in the village.
Fjord views and ancient graves
First, the train drives to the Hæreid terrace while passing by the largest prehistoric burial ground in Western Norway. Located approximately 100 meters above sea level, the Hæreid terrace boasts nearly 400 burial mounds from the Iron Age and the Viking Age. The train will then stop for a brief photo opportunity with a fantastic view over the village and the fjord.
Visit Eidfjord old church with the Trolltrain
Next, the Trolltrain goes back through the village centre and further on to the Lægreid terrace, where it makes another short stop by the Eidfjord old church. From here, you can ride the train back to the centre or walk back on foot for about 10 minutes.

Where do I board the train?
The Troll Train departs and returns right next to the Eidfjord Tourist Office. You’ll find the stop by the white fence, between Coop and Vøringfoss Hotel.

Unfortunately not. The tour has two fixed stops along the route.
