The seaplane lifts off directly from the quay in Eidfjord, taking you on a journey through some of Hardanger’s most dramatic landscapes. As the aircraft gains altitude, the fjord stretches out beneath you, framed by steep mountains and winding shorelines.

A right turn leads into Osafjorden, a narrow fjord arm with towering cliffs rising from the water. As the plane climbs to 1,700 meters, be prepared to be impressed by the sight of a majestic waterfall in a near free fall.

The flight continues toward Hardangerjøkulen, one of Norway’s largest glaciers. Expect to see deep crevasses cut through the ice, their turquoise colour standing out against the snow.

Descending into Simadalen, the landscape changes again. Waterfalls plunge down the valley walls, and small, isolated mountain farms appear between the peaks. The journey ends where it began, as the seaplane glides back onto the calm waters of the Eidfjord.
