Join a guided walk through Ulvik, a small fjordside village with a rich cultural and agricultural history. Starting in the town centre, the tour takes you along quiet paths and roads, offering views of the fjord, mountains, and surrounding orchards.
With a local guide leading the way, you’ll hear stories about Ulvik’s past and present. The walk follows the river Tysso, an important waterway that has shaped the village’s history, from early settlement to modern farming. As you pass through fruit farms, you’ll learn how the region’s climate and traditions make Hardanger one of Norway’s most important fruit-growing areas.
A stop at Syse Gard’s farm outlet gives you the chance to purchase some local products. The family-run farm offers seasonal products from fruit and cider to cured meats and jams. After the break at Syse, the tour continues back to the town centre, where you can explore more of Ulvik at your own pace.
This walk is a great way to experience Ulvik’s landscape, culture, and farming traditions with insights from a guide who knows the area well.
